I can't imagine the Twins offering him any more than that, and six years is an awful long time to sign a catcher with even the slightest history of injury... even if that catcher is Joe Mauer. I'm more or less going off what Mauer has said in many interviews that he never wants to leave the Twins organization. He's already given them a ridiculous discount, and I really do think he'd be happy making $20 mill a season... but that could just be my wishful thinking. Now how to spend what little money the team has left after that is the real problem.
