Here is the major problem with the new Yankee Stadium: there is nobody sitting in the best seats. It seems almost incomprehensible because hey, these are the Yankees! They always sell out! That's the way it's always been!
But not this year. Not with this economy.
As a result, the New Yankee Stadium's best seats, which are also the most expensive, were consistently empty throughout the Yankees first homestand.
What a embarrassment.

Josh: Let me fine tunes a comment of yours:
Most of those empty seats are, in fact, sold. Just unoccupied. For various reasons, but most have been sold.
Optically, it's ugly. Practically, it's not the end of the world. Yet.
Jason,
Why don't they give these seats to charity or a good cause since they are already sold? Some good pr never hurt nobody!
In addition,
I should have been more clear, but I know that these seats are sold. My reference to "sold out" is simply based on the fact that the place doesn't look sold out even though we've all become accustomed to seeing Yankee Stadium completely filled and obviously, sold out.
thanks.
Are those padded seats? I've seen the other pictures, but this is the first time I've seen that. That would be ridiculous. Real baseball fans deal with back pain.
